Jesse Chappell serves as the manager of program development of video intelligence for Trimble’s transportation sector. In his role, he is responsible for the overall global operations and product development for the award-winning Trimble Video Intelligence solution, which is utilized by fleets throughout North and South America as well as the European Union.
A transportation industry veteran, Chappell is passionate about improving the safety of our roadways for all who use them, including the vital role video and safety systems play in advancing carrier safety and productivity. Chappell is also focused on applying emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance how video can further support fleets and their drivers and make the road safer for everyone they share it with.
Chappell received his bachelor’s degree in computer management, business and computer science from Eastern Illinois University and has over 11 years of industry experience. Chappell also served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 15 years with the Long Lake, Minnesota, Fire Department.
