Allen is the cofounder of Drillinginfo, former CEO, and current Chairman of Drillinginfo, Inc., the most quickly and widely adopted software platform in the history of the oil and gas industry. Today, nearly 3,500 companies comprising over 90% of US oil and gas CAPEX subscribe to Drillinginfo's SaaS offerings. Drillinginfo has 545 full-time employees in various offices all over the world. Prior to founding Drillinginfo, he was an independent oil and gas producer, founding 3 successful oil and gas companies that have found over 100 million barrels of oil. He received a B.A. in Geology from Rice University in 1984, and an M.S. in Geology from UTEP in 1987.
