As President of UPS, SCS Bill Seward is responsible for UPS Global Logistics and Distribution, Global Freight Forwarding, UPS Mail Innovations and the truckload freight brokerage business at Coyote. In this role, he leads a team of over 12,000 partners and business units generating nearly $13B of revenue in 2023.
Throughout his over 30-year career, Bill has held a series of operations, sales, marketing, and business unit leadership positions of increasing responsibility.
Prior to returning to UPS in 2019, Bill served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Stericycle Inc. In previous assignments at UPS, Bill had responsibility for the UPS Americas Region, global customer solutions, international package customs brokerage, global healthcare sales and global revenue operations. He also was President of UPS International Sales and Vice President of Business Development for UPS Europe, based in Brussels.
Seward is an Alex de Tocqueville Society member of United Way and has served on the Board of Directors for Hands On Atlanta and the German American Chamber of Commerce. He has also been a member of Fernbank Museum’s Corporate Leadership Council and a volunteer in UPS’s partnership with the Warren Holyfield Boys & Girls Club literacy program.
He earned a BA from The University at Albany in New York and attended Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business in NYC. Additionally, he participated in executive education at the Yale CEO Summit, Emory’s Digital Fluency program and the US Army War College in PA.
Seward currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife Laura and their two daughters.
