Blake is a dedicated father, serial founder, and seasoned entrepreneur with over 21 years of experience in the trucking and logistics industry. His journey began in 2003 as an Owner-Operator, hauling refrigerated freight for Prime Inc. and managing intermodal loads for ATC (now Forward Air). During those years, he saw firsthand the frustrating inefficiencies caused by too much time between appointments as well as long wait times at docks. A pivotal moment came when he experienced his first drop-and-hook operation, sparking the question: “Why isn’t this happening everywhere?”
In 2011, Blake transitioned from the road to establish Spot On, a yard management company based in Kansas City. He successfully transformed high-volume facilities—managing up to 120 trucks a day—from live operations to drop setups, helping clients unlock exponential efficiency gains. His expertise in demonstrating the operational and financial benefits of these solutions secured partnerships with major enterprise clients, ensuring their loyalty as legacy clients today.
By 2013, Blake expanded Spot On to include a small fleet of trucks, where the impact of inefficiencies were felt even more acutely. This experience reignited his drive to develop a scalable solution for eliminating slack time in trucking operations.
The concept began taking shape in 2016 through discussions with key customers, inspiring Blake to create a service that could benefit carriers and shippers alike. Blake founded NoDwell, Inc. to bring his long-held vision to life. NoDwell enables seamless drop-and-hook operations for all facilities in their service area, regardless of their existing infrastructure, allowing anyone to benefit from reduced dock times and increased efficiency.
