Geoff Turner is the President and CEO of Choptank Transport, a third-party logistics provider based in Preston, Maryland. During his tenure at Choptank, the company has grown to six regional locations with more than 350 employees, handling more than 150,000 shipments per year. Choptank started as a premier perishable services provider but has since expanded into a full-service, multimodal provider. In addition to the company’s exceptional growth, it has developed its own proprietary Orbit and MOAB software platforms. Turner earned his undergraduate degree in business from University of Maryland–College Park and his MBA from Salisbury University. He has been a Transportation Intermediaries Association board member since 2005 and currently is chairing the TIA’s Shipper Council.
