As a career sustainability, renewable energy, and infrastructure specialist, Sam led sustainability efforts at Lyft and Google, co-transitioning the Google datacenter fleet to 100% renewable energy in 2017 and spearheading Lyft’s commitment to 100% EVs by 2030. He has a Master of Science from the UC Berkeley Energy and Resources Group and a Bachelors degree in Physics from Williams College. Sam likes to hike, bike and ski, loves traveling, and appreciates a good palindrome (“tahini hat”!).
