Scott Shechtman is Head of New Markets in Nasdaq’s Market Technology business. In this role, he is responsible for strategy and business development in enabling Nasdaq’s marketplace technology offerings to operate in new segments beyond capital markets, including but not limited to insurance, shipping, logistics, sports wagering and healthcare. He is also President of Longitude, Nasdaq’s pari-mutel pool-betting technology that uses advanced mathematical principles and cutting-edge computing techniques to facilitate innovation in the sports wagering industry. He has patents granted and pending for a variety of pari-mutuel wagering frameworks for sports betting. Prior to joining Longitude in 2010, Shechtman was in Markets and Banking Strategy at Citigroup and has held a variety of other positions within the financial services industry. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of Dartmouth College.
