Shannon Currier is the Director of Philanthropy and Development with the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund and is responsible for SCF’s national fundraising efforts and brand development. She has 23 years’ experience in the non-profit sector and joined the SCF team in 2014.
Shannon’s introduction to the trucking industry began 25 years ago as a payroll assistant for a trucking company in Albuquerque, NM. Shannon retained a connection to trucking over the years and returned to the industry 6 years ago. Originally the Operations Manager for SCF, she soon accepted the fundraising and development responsibilities, where she has focused her efforts for the last 5+ years.
Shannon recently spent a week on the road with a major carrier and this experience reinforced her commitment to building long-term partnerships with people that are passionate about investing in professional drivers. Investing in SCF helps ensure we have the resources needed to offer financial support when injury or illness takes a driver off the road and helps us provide pro-active health and wellness initiatives that encourage drivers to make healthy life choices. Both of SCF’s missions, Relief and Development, are vital as we face driver shortage and driver retention challenges in our industry.
Shannon and her husband have been married 25 years and live in Alabama with their 2 sons. Shannon is a die-hard Alabama football fan, an avid reader and beach lover, and she and her husband enjoy game nights or dancing with their closest friends.
