David Kessler is Vice President of Expedite Fleet & Operations at ArcBest®. With over 18 years of logistics experience, he leads the teams responsible for the company’s expedite operations, asset-light equipment management and owner operator and driver recruiting initiatives — with a focus on growing the owner operator fleet while reducing equipment costs and expanding expedite revenue and market share.
David was named Vice President of Expedite Fleet & Operations in June 2020 after previously serving as ArcBest director of learning and development from January 2016 to June 2020. In this role, he championed the unification of asset-based and asset-light training functions into one integrated department to support the entire organization — aligning to ArcBest’s strategic transformation into an integrated logistics company with a full suite of supply chain solutions. David joined the company in 2004 as a management trainee, and during his career has held several roles in the ABF field, including leading a Distribution Center and managing multiple service centers.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis.
