William L. Hasty is a Special Agent with the FBI’s Cleveland Field Office, where he investigates organized crime and brings more than a decade of experience in violent crime, gangs, crimes against children, and terrorism matters.

He previously served as a Supervisory Special Agent leading programs focused on violent crimes and crimes against children, guiding a squad that produced the field office’s top conviction results in FY24. His leadership included managing a major investigation that identified multiple child victims and protected several young children from an active offender.

Hasty has also served as a Supervisory Special Agent at the FBI Training Division’s Firearms Training Unit, where he trained New Agent Trainees and modernized key training systems. His earlier investigative work includes dismantling violent gangs, leading serial robbery investigations, and managing complex undercover operations.

A former SWAT operator and tactical instructor, he also served as an Illinois State Police Trooper and Medal of Valor recipient and was a U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant supporting intelligence operations.
