Brad Hildebrand is Global Mode Lead – Rail/Barge for Cargill Transportation & Logistics. He is responsible for developing Cargill’s strategy for global / regional rail and barge activity. He is also accountable for building relationships with key rail and barge carriers to enable Cargill to better serve customers and create opportunities.

Hildebrand joined Cargill in 1982 as a grain merchant. He held merchandising positions in Buffalo, IA, Peoria, IL and Houston, TX, prior to being transferred to Minneapolis, MN in 1989. His assignments in Minneapolis included managing Specialty Grains for the Grain Division, sales manager for Cargo Carriers, and business information manager for the Grain Division.  He joined Renessen LLC In 1999 as the merchandising and logistics manager for the joint venture between Cargill and Monsanto. Hildebrand rejoined Cargill in 2004 and served as a supply chain manager. He assumed the position of Transportation Lead for AgHorizons and Grain and Oilseeds in 2005. Hildebrand was named assistant vice president for AgHorizons in 2005. He was named Global Mode Lead for Cargill Transportation and Logistics (CTL) in 2011. He was named Vice President of CTL in 2015. 

Hildebrand currently serves on the Surface Transportation Board’s National Grain Car Council and the Rail Energy Transportation Committees.  He is also on the Railroad Arbitration Committee of the National Grain & Feed Association.

Hildebrand received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University and a MBA from the University of Houston. He is the father of three grown children and lives in Plymouth, MN with his wife Marcia.
