Chris Torrence, Chief Strategy Officer at MapUp, brings over 25 years of leadership across logistics, transportation, and supply chain innovation spanning the U.S. Air Force, Fortune 100 shippers, and leading tech disruptors. A U.S. Air Force veteran with three wartime tours, he oversaw logistics readiness and joint task force operations for the Department of Defense. After a decade at C.H. Robinson managing global enterprise logistics, he helped launch Uber Freight, led global expansion at FourKites, drove growth as an executive at Arrive Logistics and later spearheaded AI-driven strategy at Optimal Dynamics and served as CSO at Optym.
Known for uniting human expertise with advanced technology to modernize freight operations, Chris holds degrees from James Madison University and Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Program. He was also a distinguished graduate of Airman Leadership School and the recipient of the William H. Pitsenbarger Leadership Award. In addition, he is a long-standing member of CSCMP, ATA, TCA, TIA and a contributing member of MIT's Center for Transportation and Logistics.
