Dave Fischer joined Astroscale U.S. in March 2020 to lead the company’s exploration of new business opportunities and partnerships. He brings over 30 years of experience in business and technology management.
Most recently, he was Director of Business Development for RUAG Space USA. Prior to that, he was with Ball Aerospace, where his business development work spanned across the commercial, NASA, DoD, and Intelligence Community markets. He also held roles in the Program Management Office and led the Strategic Development team, where he was responsible for market assessments, strategy development, and proposal reviews. He started his career designing astrophysics instruments at the University of Chicago, and went on to lead the development of astrophysics observatories at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of Chicago and continues to be an active volunteer for his alma mater, currently serving as the President of the Military Alumni Group.
