Jeff Wood is the President of the Domestic Division at Steam Logistics.  Steam Logistics is a fully integrated third-party logistics provider, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offering multi-modal solutions for more than 7,500 customers globally.  From Fortune 500 companies to the SMB Market, Steam's solutions include Domestic Transportation, International Ocean and Air Freight, Customs Brokerage and Drayage.  Jeff is responsible for the full strategic, operational, and financial performance of Steam's Domestic Division.  He leads all aspects of the Domestic Brokerage unit including Sales, Operations, Pricing, Carrier Procurement, and Service Delivery.

Jeff started in the business as a Broker and has 18 years of experience in Domestic Transportation, Freight Forwarding and Intermodal Services.  Jeff's story is unique as he was told early on in his career that Logistics wasn't for him and that he would be better off in another industry.  He's carried that chip on his shoulder throughout his Logistics journey and has built high performing teams with the mindset that no one else is going to define your own success.  

Jeff is known for his collaborative and team-oriented approach to solving complex problems.  He's driven by training and developing new Brokers in the Logistics space and prides himself on the success of the teams that he leads.  He's developed a reputation as a leader worth following and a professional that is willing to do whatever it takes to deliver results for his teams and his customers.  Jeff has held numerous positions in the Logistics industry.  Starting out as an Individual Contributor at Access America Transport, he has also served as the Director of Inside Sales at BNSF Logistics as well as holding an Executive Vice President role at Steam Logistics prior to his promotion to President of Domestic.

Jeff studied Supply Chain and Logistics at Michigan State University.  He's a proud Spartan that enjoys spending his free time adventuring outdoors with his wife and 3 children.  Jeff is an avid Golfer, a supporter of Michigan State Athletics, and a diehard Chicago Bears fan.
