While studying accounting at The University of Georgia, Lance Starks was a college intern in Shaw’s Internal Audit department. After graduating, Lance worked in the finance (Principal Financial Group) and energy (Dalton Utilities) industries before returning to Shaw. Lance’s early career at Shaw provided him experience in the accounting, tax, real estate, and corporate assets departments. Lance also co-led the business and technology transformation of Shaw’s procure-to-pay (P2P) process. After the P2P transformation, Lance joined Shaw’s Corporate Sourcing & Procurement department gaining experience in leadership, negotiations, and strategic sourcing. During this time, Lance earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University and DBA from Liberty University. Lance has helped lead the transformation to a sourced hard surface business model. Today, Lance leads the global sourcing & procurement organization at Shaw as an executive in Shaw’s Integrated Supply Chain. Lance and his wife Anna live in Tennessee with their son, Will, who is a law student at SMU in Dallas and daughter, Lily, who is a junior at Lee University.
