Sandra Ellis was appointed Vice-President, Bulk in December 2022. In 2026, her responsibilities expanded to include Industrial, Business Development and Shortline relationships, further broadening her role in driving growth across CN's network. She is responsible for driving CN's market expansion, business development and sales activities across the grain, fertilizers, sulphur, coal, petroleum coke and industrial sectors, while fostering strategic shortline partnerships to support customer growth and network connectivity.
Sandra has worked in the rail sector for over 20 years. Prior to joining CN, she was Director, Commercial Development, NGL Processing at Inter Pipeline Ltd., where she led the negotiation of multi-million-dollar railcar purchase and lease agreements and implemented a new rail and truck transportation team for natural gas liquids (NGLs). She also held several Sales and Marketing management roles at CP for more than 15 years.
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
