Bluewire

Steve Bryan is a veteran technology entrepreneur and transportation industry leader who has spent nearly two decades applying data and technology to some of trucking’s most difficult challenges.
Steve is CEO and co-founder of Bluewire LLC, a transportation technology company using advanced analytics and AI to help motor carriers, freight brokers, insurers, and other industry stakeholders better understand and manage safety, compliance, fraud, and litigation risk. Bluewire is also working with the U.S. Department of Transportation and FMCSA on data-driven approaches to the potential modernization of the federal Motor Carrier Safety Rating system. Bluewire's mission is simple: Safer Roads. Period.
Steve entered the trucking industry in 2007 when he founded Vigillo, pioneering the use of data analytics to help motor carriers understand and manage their safety performance. Vigillo was acquired by SambaSafety in 2017, after which Steve spent three and a half years on SambaSafety’s executive team as EVP and General Manager of Transportation, overseeing the company’s regulated trucking industry offerings.
Prior to Vigillo, Steve combined his legal, business, and technology experience to lead five software startups and emerging companies through successful exits. Earlier in his career, he worked for Dow Jones & Co. and served six years in the United States Army as a diesel mechanic, including as a Maintenance Sergeant.
Steve holds a JD, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Willamette University.
Steve and his wife of 35 years live in Sun Valley, Idaho. They have five adult children, five grandsons, and a 145-pound Great Pyrenees named Pearl.
