Steve W. Martin is Senior Vice President of Dedicated Transportation Solutions (DTS) for Ryder System, Inc., a leading commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions company. In this role, Mr. Martin is responsible for the management, operations, sales, and the financial performance of Ryder’s DTS business segment which is a network of drivers, vehicles, and operations all dedicated to specific customers. He is a member of Ryder’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting to Steve Sensing, President of Ryder’s Global Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) business.

Previously, Mr. Martin served as VP and General Manager of Automotive, Aerospace & Industrials (AAI) business segment within Ryder SCS where he led teams providing supply chain management for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), their supplier and distribution base, as well as a broad range of manufacturing companies across North America.

Prior to this position, Mr. Martin served as Vice President of Operations for Ryder DTS, responsible for driving the growth and operational execution of customized transportation solutions for Ryder customers in the United States. He also led Ryder’s focus in the Oil & Gas sector focusing on integrated transportation solutions designed to improve safety, service, and cost.

Mr. Martin joined Ryder in 1988 as Operations Supervisor, supporting the Automotive industry group. Throughout his career at Ryder, Mr. Martin has advanced through the organization to positions of increasing responsibility, both domestically and abroad, leading engineering, quality assurance, and program management functional teams to support new and existing customers in the Ryder SCS and DTS business segments.

A more than 30-year Ryder veteran, Mr. Martin has played a pivotal role in implementing and running businesses for Ryder customers globally. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he is an active member of the Wayne State University Supply Chain Advisory Board.

Mr. Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation & Logistics from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, as well as completed a Leadership Program at Wharton School of Business.
